Caldwell Woman Passes Away, Bequeaths Body To Science

Marie Howell of Caldwell worked as a textile designer. She's survived by several family members.

Marie Howell (née Weinmayr), of Caldwell, NJ died peacefully, after a brief illness, in St. Barnabas Hospital on March 26, 2019 in Livingston, NJ at the age of 87. Marie bequeathed her body to science, at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Piscataway, NJ.

Marie is survived by her sister Fran Zaloski, of Clearwater, Fla. and sister- in- law Joan Kobylarz Weinmayr, of Lexington, MA, her nephew Michael Olmstead and niece Annie Clark, and great nephew Timothy. She is preceded in death by her brother V. Michael Weinmayr, and her ex-husband James Howell.

Marie Howell was born on July 30, 1931 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Viktor M. Weinmayr and Lena C Clark. Marie graduated from Parson’s School of Design in NYC and Rhode Island School of Design with degrees in Textile Design. She worked for Fashion Novelty Corp. and United Textile Corp, of Carlstadt, NJ. as a textile designer until her retirement.
