Caldwells ‘Pet Spa’ Is A Dream Come True For Local Biz Owner

CALDWELL, NJ — There’s a new “pet spa” in the Caldwells, and it’s the culmination of a life dream for a local business owner and animal lover.

Last month, owner Ana Carlson, Caldwell Mayor Ann Dassing and Councilmen Pasquale Capozzoli and Jonathan Lace, welcomed Room and Groom at 2 Linwood Terrace to the community with a ribbon cutting ceremony. (Learn more about this local business here)

The Room and Groom offers professional dog and cat grooming, pet sitting and dog walking services. It offers pet owners pickup and delivery service.

“We were pleased to welcome this new business to our town and wish Ms. Carlson and her family much luck and success,” Dassing said.

According to a company news release:

“The Room and Groom, Pet Spa and Services was founded in 2018 by Ana & Erik Carlson, with the partnership of Alberto Figueira as the operations manager. Our mission is to provide the best possible experience for pets by offering a calm, loving and relaxing environment reducing the stress associated with owner separation.

“Ana's love for animals and passion for the arts has accompanied her since childhood. She had always dreamed of owning and operating a pet spa of her own. After spending 10 years in architecture, and with the help and support of her close-knit family, she was finally able to chase her dream. Ana acquired a small property off Bloomfield Ave in Caldwell and built a state of the art salon and spa creating a warm and inviting open concept experience between the owner, their pet and the groomer.

“Ana obtained her Professional Groomer and Shop Management certification at the NJ Dog Grooming Academy to begin her practice. Continually educating herself at pet grooming expos, international grooming conferences and seminars ensures The Room & Groom stays at the cutting edge of industry trends, products and equipment.”
