Free Concert Lineup At Caldwell University: Pinocchio, Holiday Music, And All That Jazz

CALDWELL, NJ — Where can your family get a little culture or entertainment for very little (or no) money? At your local university.

Caldwell University's Department released its lineup of fall and spring concerts for the next two semesters. Only the holiday concert will have an admission price ($10).

Laura Greenwald, chair of the Music Department, said that they are very happy to be singing and playing together with live audiences again, after the pandemic.

“We hope that friends, family and community members who are able will attend in-person to enjoy the concerts and support our talented student musicians," she said.

She said they will continue to livestream some of the major concerts on the Caldwell University Facebook page.

The concerts are open to the public. Admission is free for all concerts except the Christmas Spectacular which is $10 with no charge for Caldwell University students.

Fall Semester

• Faculty/Alumni Concert, Saturday, Sept. 24, 6 p.m. Alumni Theatre
• Jazz Ensemble at Rock ‘n’ Joes, Thursday, Oct. 27, 8 p.m.
• Jazz Ensemble Concert, Thursday, Nov, 17, 5 p.m., Cougar Den
• Opera Workshop - Children’s Opera “Pinocchio”. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2 p.m., Alumni Theatre
• Solo & Chamber Concert, Tuesday, Nov. 29, 7 p.m., Alumni Theatre
• Christmas Spectacular!, Friday, Dec. 9, 7 p.m., Student Center Auditorium. $10 per person/ Caldwell University students free
