Deceased West Caldwell Animal Activist’s Dogs Need Help: VIDEO

Elise Linden spent her life caring for animals. Here's your chance to repay her, Caldwells.

West Caldwell, NJ – Elise Linden spent her life caring for animals. Now’s your chance to repay her, Essex County.

According to her obituary, Linden – a lifelong West Caldwell resident – died of cancer in March. The James Caldwell High School graduate devoted her life to the service of others as a licensed clinical social worker, a licensed massage therapist, a member of the NJ Drug Policy Alliance and most importantly, as a committed animal rescue volunteer.

And that’s why it’s important that her two beloved dogs, Ernie and Spring, find new homes, said A.J. Albrecht, a source familiar with Linden’s story.

According to Albrecht, Ernie and Spring are currently living in Linden’s vacant house with family members and a care giver visiting them as often as possible.

“But this is not sustainable,” Albrecht told Patch. “Elise’s family is desperate to find Spring and Ernie a new forever home to live out the rest of their lives as Elise intended – loved, comfortable, and cherished.”

The FernDog Rescue Foundation of Caldwell is currently helping to find a permanent home for the two dogs, and has set up a post on its website which can be seen here.

In addition, the dogs have a Facebook page which can be accessed here.
