FAIRFIELD, NJ - Downed wires on Route 46 in North Jersey have prompted commuting delays in the area Wednesday morning, authorities said.

As of 5:26 a.m., there’s a downed pole and wires on Route 46 in both directions west of Route 159/CR 627/Plymouth Road in Fairfield Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
