James Caldwell High School Presents Matilda the Musical

Enjoy student performances in a musical based on the beloved Roald Dahl novel!

James Caldwell High School is excited to present its 2022 spring production, Matilda the Musical, in the school’s Center for Performing Arts this Thursday (3/24) through Sunday (3/27).

The cast of Matilda the Musical features 26 JCHS students, as well as another 5 in the orchestra, about 20 in the stage crew, and 22 students from all the elementary schools in the district. The production has 11 children’s roles, so each elementary school child is sharing their role with another elementary student, giving each child the opportunity to perform at two of the four performances.
Based on Matilda, Roald Dahl’s 1988 children’s novel, Matilda the Musical tells the enchanting story of a 5-year-old girl who loves to read and uses her special telekinesis powers to help herself and others overcome obstacles and rise above oppressive power.
