North Caldwell Households Have Highest Incomes In New Jersey: Census

How much do households in Caldwell, North Caldwell and West Caldwell earn? Find out here.

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — North Caldwell residents are the highest income earners in the state, according to the most recent data released from the U.S. Census.

Patch recently developed a list of all New Jersey towns and their median household incomes, derived from the most recent data released from the U.S. Census. The statistics from the American Community Survey from 2011-2015 show a wide disparity in wealth between the richest and the poorest municipalities.

North Caldwell residents are on the high end of the spectrum, the data shows. The median income for a household in the township was $200,152, leaps and bounds above the lowest-earning township, Walpack in Sussex County, whose residents took home $16,667.

North Caldwell’s neighbors in Caldwell and West Caldwell earn less than half their peers, according to Census data. In Caldwell, the median household income was $72,708. And in West Caldwell, the average median income was $99,708.
