WEST CALDWELL, NJ — Flooding was reported on Bloomfield Avenue in West Caldwell on Tuesday, authorities said.

The West Caldwell Police Department issued the following advisory at 3:49 p.m.:

“Bloomfield Avenue in the areas of Distler Avenue and Sanford Avenue is flooded. Motorists are advised to avoid area until flooding recedes.”

Severe weather, including widespread clusters of thunderstorms, are in the cards into the evening on Tuesday as the Garden State heats up in preparation for triple-digit temperatures later this week, forecasters said. Read More: Severe Thunderstorms, Heat Forecasted For Parts Of NJ
