Road Paving In North Caldwell Kicks Off This Week (See Schedule)

Work will be performed during the overnight hours. Residents should expect road closures, North Caldwell borough officials said.

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — Road construction work is scheduled to take place during the overnight hours in North Caldwell this week.

According to an advisory from the borough, the Mountain Avenue roadway improvements project is entering its paving phase on Tuesday, July 2, with work slated to continue through Wednesday, July 10.

The overnight paving schedule is as follows:

  • July 2 - Paving from Gould Ave to Fox Run area
  • July 8 - Paving from Fox Run to Arbor Road
  • July 9 - Paving from Arbor Road to Mountain Place
  • July 10 - Paving from Mountain Place to Bloomfield Avenue

The above schedule is dependent on the weather and may be delayed to inclement conditions, North Caldwell officials noted.

“All work will be performed overnight from 6:30 p.m. through 5 a.m. Please expect road closures in the areas being paved. Please make arrangements to park vehicles at alternative locations should you need to leave your home as driving on the new asphalt is prohibited until approximately 4 a.m. Parking on Mountain Avenue will be prohibited. Detours will be in place.”
