CALDWELLS, NJ — The first day of summer arrives on Thursday, June 20. And 2024 is already set to bring a scorcher to the table in the Caldwells, weather forecasters say.

Experts have been predicting a record-setting heat for the summer, with the season’s first heat wave set to arrive in the Garden State this week.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 73. Southwest wind around 6 mph.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 93.

Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71.

Saturday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87.

Saturday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70.

Sunday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 92.

Sunday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73.
