CALDWELLS, NJ — There are plenty of ways to celebrate the 2023 winter holidays in the Caldwells, including several local events and attractions.

Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish festival of lights, starts at sundown on Dec. 7 and ends at nightfall on Dec. 15. Christmas will follow on Dec. 25.

You don’t have to wait to start taking in all the sights and sounds of the season in the Caldwells, however.

The West Caldwell-Caldwell Recreation Department and the West Caldwell Volunteer Fire Departments will host the town's annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Concert on Friday, Dec. 1 at the gazebo in Crane Park. Festivities begin at 5:45 p.m., with Santa expected to arrive by firetruck at 6 p.m. (learn more here).
