NORTH CALDWELL, NJ -- A weather forecast of an ugly winter storm is spurring advisories across New Jersey, including North Caldwell.

On Monday, Gov. Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency in the Garden State ahead of a winter storm system set to bring up to four inches of rain, flooding and wind gusts up to 65 mph that could down trees and cause tens of thousands of power outages. "The weather forecast for Tuesday, January 9 is calling for heavy rain and strong winds. Please clear storm drains of snow and leaves in front of your property. Stay clear of downed wires and do not drive through flooded roadways."
