5 Middle Schoolers Known as "The Still Unknown" Rocks Sold Out Crowd

Band holds benefit concert to raise funds for the Chatham Playhouse's much-needed new roof.

The Still Unknown, a remarkable local band comprised of 11-year-olds from Chatham, New Jersey, recently showcased their altruistic spirit by lending a helping hand to the Chatham Community Players. With a passion for music and a heart for their community, these young musicians supported a benefit concert to raise funds for the Players' much-needed new roof. They played to a sold out crowd on Sunday, April 22nd raising $1,500. The bandmates hail from Lafayette and Chatham Middle School and are led by Leo Zotti (Lead Singer), Derek Kahney (Lead Guitar) Max Arent (keyboard and bass), Ben Stroud (drums), and Jack McDermott (Guitar).

The event, held at Chatham Community Players, 23 North Passaic Avenue- just off Main Street, drew a diverse crowd of supporters, ranging from proud parents to avid music enthusiasts. The Still Unknown took to the stage performing classic rock like "Smoke on the Water" (Deep Purple) and "We Will Rock You", (Queen) to modern pop like "Stay" (Justin Bieber) and "Chemical" (Post Malone). President of Chatham Community Players, Leslie Williams and Gus Ibryani, Casting Director, of the upcoming production of NINE, took the night off to cheer them on.

With The Still Unknown leading the next generation of music talent, the future of Chatham's music scene looks brighter than ever, fueled by passion, generosity, and a shared commitment to making a difference. They're looking forward to more Community performances- you can follow them on Instagram @the_still_unknown. Their band Manager and bookings contact is Rob Zotti and Music Director, Clint Arent.
