CHATHAM, NJ — Easter isn't completely back to normal, but you can still avoid the cooking and go out for a meal. Several local restaurants have reservations available for Sunday.

New Jersey restaurants can currently operate at 50 percent indoor capacity. The National Weather Service also expects mostly sunny weather Sunday, so it could be a nice day for outdoor dining where available.

Listings come from OpenTable, which compiles available reservations from its partner restaurants. Here are some restaurants with availability:
  • Serenade: 6 Roosevelt Ave., Chatham, French American
  • Legal Sea Foods: 1200 Morris Tpke. at Route 24 and John F. Kennedy Pkwy. (Short Hills Mall), Short Hills, seafood
  • Benihana: 840 Morris Tpke., Short Hills, Japanese
  • Par 440: 440 Parsonage Hill Rd., Short Hills, American
  • The Hat Tavern: 570 Springfield Ave., Summit, American
  • Providence Bar and Kitchen: 1288 Springfield Ave., New Providence, fusion/eclectic
  • Nero's Grille: 618 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, steakhouse
  • La Pergola: 120 Essex St., Millburn, Italian
  • MoonShine: 55 Main St., Millburn, American

If you keep the holiday celebrations at home, state officials issued guidance last week. New Jersey limits private indoor gatherings to 25 people and outdoor crowds to 200 — the outdoor limit also applies to egg hunts.
