Chatham Celebrity Podcast Picked By Broadway Podcast Network

CHATHAM, NJ — Acts of kindness inspired a podcast by Chatham actor, writer and producer Robert Peterpaul, which is heading into its second season.

“The Art of Kindness with Robert Peterpaul,” which was recently picked up by the Broadway Podcast Network, was sparked by Peterpaul’s own journey.

Peterpaul told Patch in an email it has “been a dream come true” with Broadway Podcast Network grabbing his show, which he said ranks in the top 25 percent of the world’s most popular podcasts.

“I'm a huge fan of so many of their shows, so working with them now is surreal, said Peterpaul. “In a full circle Broadway moment, I got to have the host of one of my favorite BPN podcasts, Ilana Levine, on my show.”

He witnessed acts of kindness when his brother Thomas, was diagnosed with cancer. Prior to his brother’s death at age 11 in 2004, Robert Peterpaul said celebrities like Sting and Steven Tyler showered his brother with letters and time backstage at shows.

During his own podcast, Peterpaul has interviewed celebrities who have shared with listeners how they have blended “art and kindness” together in their own lives.

In his first season, according to a news release from Peterpaul, he interviewed singer Meghan Trainor, Olympian Laurie Hernandez and WWE wrestler Kofi Kingston.

He said that his show has touched listeners’ hearts, many reaching out to him to tell him his show “provides a bright spot in their day.”

“We're all forming a kindness community,” he added.

When asked how he has been able to recruit such big names to his show, Peterpaul commented, “I ask myself that all the time.”

In addition to acting, Peterpaul has worked as an entertainment reporter and journalist for years. His acting career started off-Broadway at age 9 at the York Theatre. He was later cast on Broadway in Seussical. Some of his recent highlights in TV and film have been King Cobra and What Happened Last Night.

Peterpaul has also been a writer for America’s Got Talent, Screen Rant and The Huffington Post, among publications.

"Through this I've established lots of wonderful relationships with artists and also publicists, who are the gatekeepers to getting the privilege of speaking with stars, Peterpaul said. "I feel so fortunate to have time with incredible guests from all areas of the industry.”

Season 2 plans to have an equally exciting guest list from Netflix stars to Broadway icons, he said.
