Chatham Church Parishioner, Active Volunteer Dies at 100

Rose Yuelling was always smiling.

Over the course of a century, Rose Yuelling saw it all.

The longtime parishioner of St. Patrick Church in Chatham died recently at the age of 100.

The centenarian lived in Florham Park and was raised in Madison, spending most of her life in Morris County. Yuelling worked at Picatinny Arsenal and the GM Plant in Linden during World War II, and later worked in the garment industry for many years.

As a parishioner of St. Patrick Church, Yuelling was a member of the Woman of Mary Rosary Society and was active in the mom and tots program.

She was also very active in the Florham Park Seniors group for many years, and loved to bake, knit and crochet, play cards, and enjoy gardening.

Yuelling was predeceased by her husband, John, and is survived by two daughters, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
