Check Out Chatham’s ‘Night Of Music’ Full Event Lineup

CHATHAM, NJ — Enjoy a night out in Chatham’s downtown on Wednesday, Dec. 15, with free music and more from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m, during the "Night of Music."

Organized by the Chatham Performing Arts Boosters, a non-profit, all-volunteer group that supports K-12 performing arts within the School District of the Chathams, while there are free musical performances going on, downtown businesses on Main Street and near Reasoner Park Gazebo, will have their own activities.

Should the event be postponed because of the weather, the rain or snow date is planned for Thursday, Dec. 16.

The groups expected to perform are:

• Chatham High School a capella group "Nothing But Treble"
• Chatham High School a capella group "Chacafellas"
• Chatham High School Brass Ensemble
• Chatham High School Woodwind Ensemble
• Chatham Middle School String Group
• Lafayette Avenue School 4th and 5th Grade Choirs

What are some of the happenings to take in during the Night of Music?

The Performing Arts Boosters have announced the lineup so far:

From 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Reasoner Park Gazebo:

• Chatham High School and Middle School small group ensembles are going to perform holiday music in front of the Gazebo
• Chatham Cougar Mascot plans to hand out candy canes
• There will be photos with the Sugar Plum Fairy and Snow Queen
• Complimentary hot chocolate and holiday treats will be for the taking at a table at the gazebo
• Card decorating is expected to happen for local nursing home residents
• Free glow necklaces will be there for attendees while they last
• Art with Heart Mobile Boutique and Mexican Spice Taco Truck on site

From 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Main Street:

• Shopping and dining specials along Main Street
• CMS and CHS small group ensembles will be performing holiday music at locations along Main Street

At 7 p.m. at the Reasoner Park Gazebo:

• Lafayette Avenue School 4th and 5th Grade Choirs perform their Winter Concert

At 8 p.m. in the Memorial Park and Library Lawn Outside of Scoops:

• Final CHS performance of holiday music at 8:00
• Complimentary hot chocolate
• Marshmallow Melody sundae at Scoops
