Filming For 'Insidious 5' Will Stage Scene In Chatham Cemetery

CHATHAM, NJ — A local cemetery is being transformed into a movie set next week, as filming for the fifth installment of the horror franchise "Insidious" continues in New Jersey.

The Fair Mount Cemetery, located at 233 Hillside Avenue, in Chatham, posted on its website that it would be closed between Aug. 16 and Aug. 18.

According to Janice Piccolo, director of Chatham Community Services, the film crew has completed the necessary paperwork to film a section of "Insidious 5 – Fear of the Dark" at the Fair Mount Cemetery on Wednesday, Aug. 17.

According to IMDb, Insidious 5 follows the Lambert family ten years after the previous film, as Dalton begins college. The family is plagued by a demon from a strange dimension called The Further.

Two-time Tony Award nominee Patrick Wilson will return to star in and direct the fifth installment. Rose Byrne and Ty Simpkins will also reprise their roles in "Insidious 5."
