CHATHAM, NJ — Are your furry friends up on their shots? Chatham Borough and Chatham Township will each hold free rabies clinics for dogs and cats.

The township event will take place from 9-10 a.m. Nov. 5 at the Public Works garage (405 Southern Blvd.).

Chatham Borough will hold its clinic for residents from 9-10 a.m. Nov. 13 at the Chatham Borough Fire Department (1 Firehouse Plz.). No registration is required, just bring your pet. To license your pet in 2023, you'll need a rabies certificate showing valid rabies immunization expiring no earlier than Nov. 1, 2023.

State law requires pet owners to provide proof of rabies vaccination for the full licensing year. A pet license won't be issued without such proof.
