Santa's Fire Truck Ride Through Chatham 2022: See When, Where

CHATHAM, NJ — Santa Claus is coming to town and will be riding atop a fire truck through different parts of Chatham Township to kick off the holiday season, according to officials.

With horns blaring and lights flashing, the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department invites everyone to come out and see Santa on a local fire truck as he makes his way through your neighborhood to celebrate the holidays.

Santa will visit local neighborhoods on Saturday, Dec. 17 and Sunday, Dec. 18, according to the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Listen for the sirens starting around 11:30 a.m. as Santa will be making the rounds greeting children and handing out candy canes throughout the township.

“Santa can’t wait to see the smiling faces of the kids- and adults too”, Richard Gentles, President of the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department said.

The fire department that serves the Chatham area is entirely volunteer-run. The department operates its headquarters on River Road and a second station on Southern Boulevard and responds to approximately 300 calls each year, both within Chatham Township and in the form of mutual aid to departments in neighboring communities.
