CHATHAM, NJ — One of the best ways to pass an evening in the summer is relaxing at the Gazebo located in Reasoner Park and listening to some great live music.

On Thursday, July 20, the annual Summer Concerts Series returns to Chatham, filling the park with the sound of music.

The borough redesigned the area last summer, adding six picnic tables and decorative lights to create a pleasant environment for patrons getting takeout from local restaurants.

According to Chatham officials, the concert series is free to the public and will take place on Thursdays at 6 p.m. When attending a performance, residents are encouraged to bring food, blankets and lawn chairs.

The first concert was held this week on July 6, by the Concord Singers from Summit and Chatham's local band loosely known as Unplugged. The show was initially scheduled for June 22 but was postponed due to thunderstorms in the area.
