Teens in Grades 7-10 Invited on Feb. 9

Basketball and Volleyball at the Madison Area YMCA

(Madison, NJ) - Calling all 7th-10th graders! The Madison Chatham Coalition and Project Community Pride of the Madison Area YMCA in partnership with the Madison and Chatham Police Departments are hosting the event “Basketball and Volleyball at the Y” for students in grades 7 - 10. This no-fee program is open to the community and will take place at the Madison Area YMCA in the full-court gymnasium on Friday, February 9; 6-7 p.m.

Shoot some hoops, aim for a long rally on the court, learn about our programs including the Madison Chatham Coalition’s Teen Task Force (@mccteentaskforce), and meet some new friends!

Registration and a Program Participant Release is required and must be signed by a parent or guardian. Register via email to Project Community Pride Director Christine McIntyre at [email protected].

The Madison Chatham Coalition is a community prevention organization where community members and partner organizations come together to address underage drinking and the illegal use of marijuana through the implementation of effective, evidence-based prevention initiatives. The Madison Chatham Coalition is funded by the Office of National Drug Control Policy and is a collaborative partnership between the Centers for Disease Control and Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America. The Madison Area YMCA is a community partner and the local fiscal agent of the Madison Chatham Coalition. Project Community Pride of the Madison Area YMCA is a no-fee youth counseling and support program for children, teens and families in Chatham, Florham Park and Madison who are struggling with social, emotional and/or behavioral issues. This program is an important extension of youth development services for children, teens and their families throughout the Madison Area YMCA’s service area that was made possible through the collaboration of community leaders and a new partnership with the municipalities and School Districts of the Chathams, Florham Park and Madison.
