CHATHAM, NJ — A toppled tree on wires has caused a section of River Road to close on Tuesday afternoon.

The repair work is on River Road westbound, which is currently closed between Passaic Avenue and Central, the township announced.

There is currently no projected time for restoration, according to the police.

JCP&L is reporting that approximately 20 Chatham Township customers are without power.
