The family-friendly gathering is scheduled to take place on Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to noon. The Halloween event will be hosted in the parking lot of the Municipal Building located at 58 Meyersville Road.

All residents are encouraged to participate, with the caveat that the first 40 vehicles will be limited due to space limits.

Participating vehicles are required to be decorated in festive Halloween themes and to have candy to hand out to trick-or-treaters. In addition to the main trunk-or-treat events, attendees can expect to enjoy music and a range of interesting activities suitable for families and children of all ages.

"Our Trunk-or-Treat event is a testament to Chatham Township's commitment to fostering community spirit and providing safe, inclusive events for families. Especially in these times, it's essential for us to come together, create memorable experiences, and ensure our children enjoy the spooky tradition of Halloween," Mayor Ashley Felice said.

Chatham Township officials said that they encourage residents to partake in this festive event and "look forward to seeing the innovative decorations and costumes that encapsulate the spirit of Halloween."
