CHATHAM, NJ — To help get into the holiday spirit, Chatham Township is hosting a festive Winter Holiday Festival at town hall next week.

The festival will take place at the Chatham Township town hall, located at 58 Meyersville Road, on Dec. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. This family-friendly evening will be the perfect opportunity for local families to revel in the holiday spirit, and it's all free of charge, officials said.

Attendees will be able to listen to live carolers as they enjoy the timeless tradition of horse-drawn carriage rides through the township's decorated winter wonderland. Families can then warm up with hot cocoa and a variety of snacks as they mingle with neighbors and make new friends.

Santa Claus himself will also be visiting from the North Pole to share in the festivities, the township said.

Children will have the chance to meet Santa and take memorable photos, so make sure they bring their letters to Santa to ensure their holiday wishes are heard.

In the spirit of giving, local Girl Scouts will also be hosting a food drive during the event. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to support those in need within the Chatham community.

"Don't miss out on this joyous event that promises to be a highlight of the holiday season. Come along, celebrate with your community, and spread the cheer," the township said.
