Major Delays Are Becoming A Nightmare for NJ Transit Commuters

Recent Development on What Commuters Are Calling the "Summer of Hell"

It's a bad time to be a commuter in New Jersey. According to the New York Post, approximately 20 NJ Transit trains were canceled this morning due to delays and a larger than normal number of employee absences, right in the midst of rush-hour traffic. Sources claim this has been happening multiple times throughout the first days of August, a time when many New Jersey families are traveling for the summer before the start of the school season.

Reports of a new train installation system is stated to be one of the main reasons for the staffing shortage, said one NJ Transit spokeswoman. But, at the end of the day, commuters are flooding Twitter with outrage over the lack of checks and balances that are leaving people stranded, late to work or events and just getting from Point A to Point B.

This isn't the first time that NJ Transit commuters have been outraged over delays. Back in March of this year, a fatal accident caused major delays for a commuter when an Amtrak train killed a man while traveling between Newark Penn Station and New York.
