Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers Expected To Open Soon In Cinnaminson

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is getting closer to opening in Cinnaminson.

The retro-themed restaurant is on track to open in early November, barring any unforeseen delays, a Freddy's spokesperson told Patch. But an opening date hasn't been determined.

Freddy's has hundreds of locations around the nation, including three in New Jersey. Last year, Cinnaminson officials approved the restaurant for Route 130 at the site of the former Acme supermarket, which closed in 2011.

Freddy Simon, the business's namesake, served in World War II before returning to Wichita, Kansas, and working in the hospitality industry for 56 years. Two of his sons were among the founders of the company, which launched in 2002 in Wichita.

Every burger is made "The Freddy's Way," with each patty pressed thin to create crispy edges and finished with Freddy's Famous Steakburger and Fry Seasoning. The menu also includes hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and frozen treats.

Freddy's opened in Burlington earlier this year.

Cinnaminson's restaurant will be located at 1107 Route 130 S.
