Blackwood Pumpkin Festival Postponed Due To Rain Forecast From Ian

With heavy rain forecast for South Jersey this weekend, event organizers have moved the Blackwood Pumpkin Festival date to October 9.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Inclement weather prompted event organizers to move the 29th Annual Blackwood Pumpkin Festival in Gloucester Township to October 9.

The festival was originally scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 2 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Black Horse Park. Rain from Tropical Storm Ian is forecast to soak southern New Jersey this weekend.

As of Friday morning, half of the state is currently under a hazardous weather outlook, according to the National Weather Service. The counties affected are:

The Jersey Shore is forecast to see the most rain (between 3 to 4 inches of precipitation) Friday through Sunday night, while the northwest part of the state may only see up to one inch of rainfall.
