Stop & Shop Unveils Remodeled Union Store

Modernized Store Features a Fresh New Look, Expanded Assortments and Departments

Stop & Shop, a neighborhood grocer for more than 100 years, today unveiled its newly remodeled store in Union (1201 Stuyvesant Avenue). The store, which opened its doors in 2007, is now noticeably brighter and more modern. The store not only has a new look, but it also has new features that are centered around delivering fresh, healthy, and convenient options to make grocery shopping easier.

Highlights of the remodeled Union store include:

· Enhanced produce department offering more ways to eat healthy

· Remodeled bakery department complete with delicious cakes, cupcakes and other treats

· Upgraded meat and seafood departments with a seafood service case that offer fresh filets

· Expanded dairy and frozen food departments offering a wider array of goods

· Organic and natural products integrated within the grocery aisles allowing customers to see all product options available

  • Convenience cases filled with the essentials – milk, butter, and eggs – located right by checkout so customers can quickly grab the most-needed items, without having to walk the entire store

“We’re excited to share our newly remodeled store with our local shoppers,” said Steven Florek, Store Manager of Stop & Shop Union. “We’ve added more of what our customers want and upgrades they need to get their shopping done faster and get back to what matters most.”

To commemorate the remodel and further support the Union community, Stop & Shop will donate $1,000 in gift cards to Jireh Praise and Worship Church Food Pantry.
