Council Adopts Ordinance Fixing Salaries For Temporary, Seasonal Workers

The new salary ranges are effective for the 2024 season.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – The Town Council on Monday passed an ordinance setting new salary ranges for temporary and seasonal workers.

The workers include sports camp directors, youth group leaders, counselors, park rangers, swim team coaches and lifeguards.

The new salary ranges is effective for the 2024 season and will be able to attract more seasonal workers to the township.

At the popular Crystal Springs Waterpark, the minimum wage for a lifeguard was set at $10 an hour minimum and $17 hour maximum. A lifeguard supervisor can get anywhere between $15 to $18 an hour, and a guest relations supervisor (Manager) can earn between $15to $30 an hour.

The operations manager/Aquatics Director can get between $20 and $52 an hour.

The ordinance will take effect 20 days after its final passage and adoption.
