Child Luring Warning Issued by Florham Park OEM

Three 10-year-old boys were allegedly offered candy by strangers in Chatham CVS parking lot.

The Florham Park Office of Emergency Management and Florham Park Police Department are warning the public of a recently reported possible child luring incident in a neighboring town.

The OEM took to Facebook to tell parents to talk to their children about safety and "stranger danger."

"Suspicious incidents should be reported to the police department as soon as possible," the departments said.

The warning was in response to a reported possible child luring incident in Chatham this week. In the incident, three 10-year-old boys who were in the CVS parking lot on Main Street told police that two men in a four-door sedan pulled up and offered them candy. The incident was reported on Monday.

In addition to police and OEM warnings, information will be distributed through the Florham Park school district.
