FAIR LAWN-SADDLE BROOK, NJ — The midterm primary elections are today, and voters across Bergen County headed out to the polls.

Here's a look at significant races on the ballot in Fair Lawn, in Saddle Brook, and around the county.

Fair Lawn

Fair Lawn doesn't have local races tonight, but a number of people are on the ballot for county committee.

Saddle Brook

Two Democrats and two Republicans have filed for the two open Borough Council seats, so the results are all but confirmed. Incumbent Todd. J. Accomando and fellow Democrat Sarah Sanchez will appear with Republican candidates George A. Cedeno, Jr. and Gerard "Jerry" Taylor on the ballot.

A number of people are also on the ballot for county committee.

Other races

Countywide, Republican candidates are looking to gain ground at the county level, in the executive's office and on the Board of County Commissioners, where Democrats hold sway.

Todd Calguire of Midland Park and Linda T. Barba of Fort Lee are vying for the ballot place opposite County Executive James Tedesco III, a Democrat.

Six Republicans have filed to run against three incumbent Democrats on the Board of County Commissioners .

At the federal level, five Republicans have filed to run for Rep. Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5)'s seat in the fall.

Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr. (NJ-9) will face Republican Billy Prempeh, who has no opponents in his primary.
