Fair Lawn’s Community Campout, Movie Night Is Saturday

Fair Lawn will ring out the last weekend of summer with a community camp out and movie night.

FAIR LAWN, NJ – Fair Lawn will ring out the last weekend of summer with a community camp out and movie night.

The event will be held Saturday into Sunday at Fair Lawn Memorial Park and is open to borough residents only.

The evening will include a magician, a balloon maker, motorized animal rides, bumper cars, an inflatable maze, a large bounce house, an obstacle course, music, a family scavenger hunt, arts & crafts, story time and food trucks open from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m.

The evening's movie will be "The Great Outdoors" and free s'mores will be served after. The following morning, a free breakfast will be available.

There is no registration fee, but campsites are limited and available on a first come, first serve basis. Each site must have one adult in charge that will remain there during the entire campout.

Campers may bring drinks, snacks and dinner, but alcoholic beverages, glass bottles and smoking are not permitted. Generators, fire pits, ground fires, campfires and fireworks are also prohibited. Dogs are also not allowed, unless he or she is a service dog with proper identification.

Check in and tent set-up starts at 3 p.m. on Saturday and all campers must be packed up no later than 10 a.m. Sunday.
