Garden Committee Seeks Members

Residents interested in volunteering with the committee should contact the committee chairwoman or the borough's clerk's office.

If you're a community-minded Fair Lawn resident who doesn't mind digging in the dirt, the Fair Lawn Garden Committee could use your help.

The volunteer committee, which is appointed by the borough council to plant and maintain public gardens around town, is looking for new members.

"We need residents of any age willing to put in a [minimum] of eight hours per year," committee chairwomman Jane Spindel said. "No experience necessary, just a willingness to get dirty."
