Madelyne S. Deane, 100, Of Saddle Brook, Was Avid Gardener

SADDLE BROOK, NJ — Madelyne S. Deane (nee Schwab), 100, of Saddle Brook died Saturday.

She was an avid gardener and grew vegetables for her family, friends, and neighbors, her obituary states.

She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas, brother Arnold Schwab, and half-sister Viola Rhodes.

She is survived by her niece, Lori Johnson, and her husband, Gerard, and great-niece and nephews Jennifer, Joseph, Christopher, and Phillip.

Visitation is June 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Ave., Paramus. A private interment will be at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
