NJ Devils Teams Up with CASA of New Jersey to Benefit Abused, Neglected Children

Game proceeds will benefit CASA programs in New Jersey that advocate for children removed from their homes due to neglect and/or abuse.

For their home opener on Oct. 18, the New Jersey Devils have teamed up with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) programs in New Jersey to support children in need.

For $37.51 a ticket, Devils fans will enjoy group seating in the brand new Party Zone, a Devils gift and a chance to take a picture on the center ice post-game. Even better, fans will be able to cheer on their own New Jersey Devils while supporting children in need in their community. Fans can support the statewide office or their local programs by purchasing their tickets through individualized links.

Proceeds from the game will benefit CASA programs in New Jersey, which recruit and train community volunteers to advocate in court for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect.

“We are thrilled to partner with the New Jersey Devils in support of advocacy for children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse or neglect,” said Rita Gulden, Executive Director of CASA of New Jersey. “We are grateful to the Devils for supporting our mission and enabling advocacy for New Jersey’s most vulnerable children.”

CASA of New Jersey, Inc. is part of a national network of non-profit programs that advocate for children removed from their families because of abuse or neglect. CASA Affiliates recruit and train community volunteers to be a “voice in court” for children removed from their homes due to abuse and/or neglect. These advocates “speak up” for these children, helping them get the services they need and ensuring that they find safe, permanent homes. CASA programs operate in all 21 counties in New Jersey and over 3,000 children last year. To find a CASA program in your county, visit www.casaofnj.org.
