FAIR LAWN, NJ — A pedestrian was fatally struck by an NJ Transit train near the Broadway Station in Fair Lawn Tuesday evening, according to multiple reports.

The pedestrian was hit around 7:25 p.m. by a train on the Bergen County line, NJ.com reported, citing an NJ Transit spokesperson.

The train that struck the pedestrian was out of service and traveling east at the time of the accident, according to NorthJersey.com. No other passengers were on board.
