Prosecutor: 21-Year-Old Sold Drugs to Undercover Detectives

The man allegedly sold the drugs to detectives in Paramus, which is also where he worked as a gas station attendant.

Authorities say an “extensive joint investigation” led to the arrest of a 21-year-old man who allegedly sold drugs to undercover detectives on two occasions.

According to Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli, [Name Withheld], 21, of Clifton, distributed two ounces of suspected marijuana to an undercover Bergen County Narcotic Task Force detective for $520 in Paramus on Dec. 23, 2013 and allegedly distributed one and a half grams of suspected cocaine to an undercover detective for $160 in Paramus on Feb. 2, 2014.

Lababneh was then arrested by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force and Paramus Police Department on March 25 at the Paramus gas station he worked for.

Lababneh was charged with one count each of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, namely cocaine, in a quantity of less than one-half ounce and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, namely marijuana, in a quantity of more than one ounce but less than five pounds.

Lababneh was released on his own recognizance pending a first court appearance.
