FAIR LAWN, NJ — Fair Lawn Police released arrest reports for the department from April 26 to May 10. Officers arrested people on shoplifting, drug possession, driving while intoxicated, and other charges.

4/26 at 11:51 p.m.

Narcotics: P.O. Tiller Uriarte approached three suspicious persons on River Road at Richard Street and arrested a 37-year-old Fair Lawn woman, after believing her to be under the influence of a narcotic and finding evidence of drug use. A man, age 40 of Haledon, was also arrested after an arrest warrant was located out of Paramus for $1000. The woman was released after being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The man was handed over to Paramus Police.

4/29 at 9:43 p.m.

Narcotics: Det. Geovanny Buitron & Det. Justin DiGuglielmo initiated a motor vehicle stop on Route 208 North at Harristown Road and arrested a 30-year-old man from Cuddebackville, NY, after heroin was found inside of his vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance & possession of drug paraphernalia.

4/30 at 12:05 a.m.

Wanted Person: P.O. Matthew Hearon initiated a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 East at Paramus Road and arrested a 40-year-old Teaneck man after an arrest warrant was located out of Bedminster Township for $208. He was charged with operating with a suspended license, then released after posting bail.

4/30 at 9:10 p.m.

Shoplifting: P.O. Miguel Cruz responded to CVS Pharmacy, 24-12 Fair Lawn Avenue, on a report of a shoplifter. While enroute, the female shoplifter was seen by an off-duty officer entering a vehicle that drove away. That vehicle was located and a 37-year-old Fair Lawn woman was arrested with $111.39 in unpaid items in a bag. The woman, who also was arrested April 26, was released after being charged with shoplifting.

5/1 at 6:12 p.m.

Narcotics: P.O. Juan Rodriguez approached a suspicious male sitting on a curb on Broadway at Tunbridge Road and arrested a 28-year-old Ridgefield man after he was observed discarding heroin after becoming aware of a police presence. An arrest warrant was located out of Fair Lawn for $750. He was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, then transported to Bergen County Jail.

5/10 at 11:41 p.m.

Driving While Intoxicated: P.O. John Rovetto responded to a single vehicle crash on Broadway at 30th Street and arrested the operator, A 33-year-old Elmwood Park man was arrested after he failed a roadside sobriety test. He was charged with failure to observe a traffic signal, reckless driving, driving while intoxicated & refusal to submit to breath samples, then was transported by Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance to New Bridge Medical Center for treatment.
