FAIR LAWN, NJ — A New York woman beat up an 83-year-old gas station worker in a cash-and-tobacco heist that ended with the hospitalization of four cops, according to Fair Lawn police.

Sincere Wiley, 30, stands accused of punching, shoving and kneeing the elderly worker in the face at the BP station on Wagaraw Road and Lincoln Avenue about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, Fair Lawn police Sgt. Brian Metzler said.

Wiley then whipped out a box cutter and made off with tobacco and $88 in cash, police said.

But cops soon caught up with Wiley running toward the Sunoco gas station across the street, where they saw her drop the stolen items on the ground, Metzler said.

The Lockport woman was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where she refused to remove her shoe laces and jewelry and started to struggle, police said.

That struggle left four officers injured seriously enough to require hospitalization, but they've since been released, according to Metzler.

The 30-year-old also peed and defecated in her holding room, police said.

Wiley was charged with robbery, eluding and aggravated assault, officials said.

She was hospitalized for an evaluation and then transferred to the Bergen County Jail, police said.

Officials say the 83-year-old BP employee was also hospitalized, though his condition remains unknown.
