Accident Closes Freehold Twp. Road; Utility Pole Struck

Freehold Township police advise motorists that a section of Siloam Road - County Route 527 - will be closed for hours after a car accident.

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — Siloam Road (County Route 527) is closed in both directions from Ely Harmony Road to Diamond Lane after a car crash earlier Friday morning brought down a utility pole, police said.

Det. Lt. Joseph Winowski said there were no injuries.

But he said the pole was struck and numerous power and cable lines were damaged.

"Due to the weather, we expect the repairs to take all day. Siloam Road will likely be closed until at least 4 p.m., possibly later," he said.
