Man Convicted Of Sexually Assaulting Child In Camden County

CAMDEN, NJ — A Pennsauken man was found guilty Friday of multiple sexual assaults against a child.

The abuse began when the victim was 9 years old, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. Joseph Jackson, 76, assaulted the girl at his Pennsauken home between April and December of 2018 and between November and December of 2018 in Riverton, the agency said.

He was arrested at his Pennsauken home in March 2019.

Jackson was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault involving a victim younger than 13 and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child — both second-degree offenses. He was convicted after a jury trial in Camden County Superior Court.

Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 6.
