This Is What Gloucester Twp School Officials Got Paid Last School Year

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Officials from the Gloucester Township Public School District are among the more than 2,500 educational administrators in the state who made salaries of $150,000 or more during the past school year, according to data from the New Jersey Department of Education and NJ Advance Media.

It's becoming increasingly common for school administrators in New Jersey to make that much.

In 2011, then-Gov. Chris Christie implemented a $175,000 cap for superintendents. The Christie administration raised their maximum base pay to $191,584 in 2017.

But Gov. Phil Murphy signed a law in 2019 that eliminates the cap for superintendent salaries but set guidelines for school-executive contracts to limit or standardize bonuses and other perks.

Below, find the officials from Gloucester Township Public School District who made between $150,000 and $300,000 in the last school year, about how much they made and how that salary ranked among the 2,556 educational administrators listed in the report.

• John Bilodeau, $199,324 (253rd)
• Timothy Trow, $167,711 (1,276th)
• Joseph Gentile, $155,818 (2,071th)
• Janice Grassia, $152,440 (2,350th)

Officials from Trenton Stem-To-Civics Charter School, Bright Beginnings Learning Center and Hudson County Schools Of Technology School District each made $300,000, the highest paid officials listed in the report.

There were also 22 school officials who earned at least $250,000 in the last school year, the report said. None of these school officials were from Burlington, Camden or Gloucester counties.

At the bottom of the list were 21 school officials who earned $150,000, according to the report. Of them, the following school officials from Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties made that much in the last school year:

• Kimberly Blake, Mastery Schools Of Camden Inc., Mastery Schools Of Camden Inc., $150,000
• Anthony Fitzpatrick, District Office, Delsea Regional High School District, $150,000
• John Ogunkanmi, Pennsauken High School, Pennsauken Township Board Of Education School District, $150,000
