Heroin, 5 Needles Led to Woman's Arrest in Hackettstown, Cops Say

Police responded after people were reportedly sleeping in car.

A Somerset woman was arrested Monday on heroin possession charges after officers responded to a report of people sleeping in their car according to Hackettstown Police Sgt. Darren Tynan.

Kristina McGraw, 24, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of hypodermic needles, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. She was sent to the Warren County Correctional Facility in lieu of $7,500 bail, Tynan said.

Police responded to the 300 block of Lafayette Street around 6:45 p.m. to find two people had left the car and started to walk behind a home, Tynan said. After an investigation, police determined McGraw to be in possession of four glassine bags with suspected heroin, three empty glassine bags with suspected heroin residue and five hypodermic syringes, according to Tynan.
