$200K Lottery Luck With 'Year Of The Dragon' Ticket In Holmdel

A scratch-off ticket in the $5 "Year of the Dragon" NJ Lottery game was sold in Holmdel and was a $200,000 top-prize winner, lottery says.

HOLMDEL, NJ — The New Jersey Lottery confirmed that a "Year of the Dragon" $200,000 winning scratch-off ticket - the top prize - was sold in Holmdel at the Middletown Exxon on Route 35.

The game just began Dec. 30 of 2023, but already two $200,000 winning tickets have been claimed. There were a total of three top $200,000 tickets, according to the lottery. The other claimed winner was sold in Egg Harbor, according to the latest information from the lottery.

New Jersey Lottery winners have the right to remain anonymous, so there was no further information about the winner in Holmdel, the lottery noted.

The New Jersey Lottery does not usually report on scratch-offs to the public because they are not purchased by date, but information on the website is up-to-date, a spokesperson said.
