Three Freehold Men Found With Pound Of Pot, Holmdel Police Say

Police: Three men, ages 19 and 18, were arrested for marijuana possession after a traffic stop early Monday morning in Holmdel.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Three Freehold Borough men were arrested in Holmdel early Monday morning, charged with possession of more than a pound and half of marijuana, according to a police report.

The arrests came after a traffic stop at about 3:01 a.m. on March 11, conducted by Patrolman R. Enzerillo, police said. The location of the stop was not disclosed.

The three were arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession with the intent to distribute, police said. Police said they also found $1,100 in currency.

The men charged were Khyri Harris, 19; Yeyce Ortega, 18; and Joshua Riano, 19. They were released pending a court date.

According to the state Cannabis Regulatory Commission, New Jersey state law allows adults 21 years and older to have up to 6 oz. of cannabis and cannabis products in their possession.
