Garbage Truck Fells Utility Pole On Telegraph Hill Road, Holmdel
Telegraph Hill Road near Allocco Drive in Holmdel was closed most of Monday when a utility pole was broken in a garbage truck accident.
HOLMDEL, NJ — Telegraph Hill Road was closed in both directions at Allocco Drive nearly all day Monday when a private garbage truck struck a utility pole, breaking it, police said.
A new pole had to be brought in and installed by Jersey Central Power & Light crews, police said Monday evening.
That portion of the road was still closed as of 7 p.m. Monday, but detours are in place. No outages were reported by yesterday evening, according to JCP&L's outage map.
