Aging At Home: Hazlet Meeting Will Discuss Challenges

HAZLET, NJ — One in a series of county meetings will take place in Hazlet Friday for older residents to discuss the challenges of aging at home.

The Monmouth County Senior Advisory Council will have community "listening sessions" in several towns in the Bayshore to find ways to address those challenges, the council says.

The meeting in Hazlet is Friday, Nov. 17, from 11 am. to 1 p.m. at the James J. Cullen Center, 1776 Union Ave., in Hazlet.

"Everyone is invited to come with ideas, concerns and questions," the township said in its post about the event.

Also attending the meeting will be representatives of the Monmouth County's Office on Aging, Sheriff's Office, County Clerk, Surrogate's Office, Consumer Affairs, South Jersey Legal Services, Family & Children's Service of Monmouth County and Caregivers Volunteers of Central Jersey.

Other sessions will be held in Aberdeen, Keansburg, Keyport and Union Beach, the township said.
