Parents in Hazlet can mark the first day of school coming this week.
HAZLET, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Hazlet, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Hazlet school district.
The first day of school for most students in Hazlet, a pre-K to Grade 12 district, is Sept. 7.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Hazlet School District
- First Day: Sept. 7.
- Fall Recess: Nov. 6 through Nov. 10.
- Thanksgiving Recess: Nov. 23 and 24, with early dismissal Nov. 22.
- Winter Recess: Dec. 25 through Jan. 1, 2024, with early dismissal Dec. 22.
- Spring Recess: March 29 through April 5, 2024; school resumes April 8, 2024.
- Last Day: June 25, 2024.
Two days for a weather or other emergency are included in the calendar, which may results in some adjustments to it.
