Soft Skills Mastery Class: 4-Part Course - Live on Zoom
Presented by WOS Instructor Addie Rimmer In partnership with Northeastern University College of Professional Studies (NU-CPS)
Join us as Workforce Opportunity Services (WOS) presents a free online Soft Skills Mastery Class for highly motivated, early-career individuals. <a href="https://cps.northeastern.edu/" id="isPasted" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Northeastern University College of Professional Studies</a> has partnered with WOS and may issue a certificate of participation upon completion of the Soft Skills Mastery Class.
Register once, attend ALL FOUR classes, and you may earn a certificate from WOS &amp; NU-CPS.
Based on 20 years of research-based workforce development experience, this course has been designed to develop capabilities in self-esteem and confidence, lifelong learning, metacognition, personal and professional core values, and literacy in a business culture oriented toward workplace success.
WOS created the Soft Skills Mastery Class to empower individuals to move from entry-level positions to long-lasting professional success. This online class will be 12 hours: 3 hours each day for 4 consecutive days. This class will consist of 2 hours of live training with an additional 1 hour of individual learning.
This program aims to help participants:
<ul><li>Identify core personal and professional values</li><li>Gain a self-awareness of strengths and learn how to address weaknesses</li><li>Bolster self-esteem and self-acceptance</li><li>Establish and nurture wellness and a healthy living lifestyle</li><li>Identify and utilize learning styles and study strategies to support lifelong learning and adaptation</li><li>Create development plans to achieve personal, academic, and professional goals using various approaches</li><li>Recognize and understand emotional intelligence and its impact in the workplace</li><li>Further develop interpersonal skills and identify transferable skills</li></ul>
Each session is designed for individuals of all ages and is aimed at expanding their horizon in the arts. Monday morning is part one of the series. The next three sessions will take place on from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on:

Tuesday, September 10&nbsp;– Part 2
Thursday, September 12 – Part 4

Virtual Citizenship Classes Presented by Literacy NJ Monmouth
Do you want to become a United States citizen? Join free virtual Citizenship classes offered by Literacy NJ Monmouth.
Classes are open to adults 18 years and older in New Jersey with a Green Card and intermediate level of English. Classes meet every Wednesday evening for 12 weeks- you must attend every class.
Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, beginning July 10 and running through September 25.

Enchantment in Your Evening Garden
Presented by Rutgers Master Gardener Ann Sherwood
Enchantment literally means to be part of the song, and evening is a delightful time to be enchanted by the natural world in your garden. This presentation is an invitation to think about how you experience your garden as a busy day winds down. You will discover plants that may enhance your awareness of the changing light, aromas, and sounds that accompany the shift from day to night.
About the presenter: Ann Sherwood has been a Master Gardener since 2016. She received her Ph.D. in microbiology/cell biology from Rutgers many moons ago and spent her career studying how human cells work. Ann is interested in the active life of plant and animal cells underground. She is the Master Gardener expert on the spotted lantern fly. She also enjoys sharing her love of hummingbirds and the splendor of evening gardens. 
The Master Gardeners are dedicated to educating the citizens of Monmouth County by offering interesting and informative horticultural presentations. Raising awareness in our community ensures that Monmouth county continues to be a beautiful and environmentally green place to live and work.
Sessions will be presented on Zoom and are free of charge. Registration and internet access are required. Register below for links to be emailed to you. Registration closes on the business day prior to the program at noon; Zoom access links will be emailed later that day.
